Nothing But Blue Skies

Our team recently returned from the California Dental Association meeting, a popular show in the most populous state in the country. While in the past year or two sales at many of the meetings we attended seemed slow, this year’s CDA sales turned out to be quite brisk, for both small and big-ticket items. Last year we saw a lot of dentists “kicking the tires” on equipment and technology, but it seems this time they came feeling confident and ready to buy.

Could California be a bellwether for the dental industry? Are dentists buying more because traffic is returning to their offices? Will the upbeat feeling from this show carry on, and dental offices across the country begin to see their business turning a corner? What indicators have you seen in your local markets?
